Back To School 2026 Donate Fundraise Support our campaign and help us to ease the back-to-school worry for fashion and textile families who are under financial pressure. "This grant has made such a huge difference to our children's lives, they are all now wearing new clothes/shoes and school bits rather than hand me downs or old uniform/clothes from last year." The continued high cost of living means more families than ever are struggling to afford essential back-to-school items. With schooling costs reaching £1,755 per child per year,** many parents are forced to make impossible choices. We understand the difficulties that going back to school can bring. That’s why we support parents, easing the financial pressure of back to school by providing grants for uniforms, technology, books, desks for homework, and more. These are not optional extras—they are essentials every child needs to succeed. Together, we can ensure that no child starts school at a disadvantage. A recent survey among the parents we support, revealed what is troubling them. 47% of parents told us they’ve sent a child in ill-fitting uniform. 66% of parents have used credit plans to buy school uniform. 50% of parents in our survey say saving for back-to-school is simply not possible for them. How we helped to create a study sanctuary for this GCSE student. “When we got approved for the grant I couldn’t believe it happened to us. I was over the moon! I have received the money within few days and was able to furnish my child's room properly.” After leaving an abusive relationship, we were glad to help this family set up a new study space, just in time for the GCSE exams. To protect identities, the following story has been anonymised, but all the words are all the parent's own.
