Yesterday the prestigious Drapers Awards helped to raise £8,300 to fund essential items for vulnerable children.

Guests included companies from across the UK and Ireland’s Independent Fashion Retail Industry. As charity partner for the event, we hosted a charity raffle with six luxury prizes, generously donated by our sponsors Tom Dixon, Gosia London, Potters Park, The Coal Office Restaurant, LK Bennett and The White Company.

How the funds will help

Here at the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust we believe that every child should have the chance to thrive. Our grants fund a variety of essential items and each is tailored to suit the family and child's individual needs. The funds raised at yesterday's event will immediately be used to give more grants to vulnerable children, throughout the winter months.

£8,300 is the equivalent of:

53 school uniform bundles
helping children to be school ready this autumn
or
32 beds
helping children to get a restful night sleep
or
20 essential appliances
to give children clean clothes and hot meals
or

2 specialist mobility aids
to help a child like Ned, gain the independence he deserves

Caption: Volunteers Millie and Grace help our CEO Anna Pangbourne and Drapers editor Jill Geohegan draw our raffle winners

Our incredible volunteers, Millie, Grace, Priya, Emily, Olivia, Holly, Hannah, and Freya gave their time to host a ping pong champagne draw and sell raffle tickets to guests at their table. It was non-stop for the three hour event and we couldn't have done it without them.

We hope all the raffle winners enjoy their prizes and thank everyone else for their huge generosity.

We would like to mention a huge thank you to Drapers editor Jill Geoghegan and her team for their ongoing support. It's a huge honour to be Drapers' charity partner and we are excited to be back at the Awards in 2024.
