When a mother and her husband needed sensory items to support their autistic son, they took the important step of reaching out to FTCT for assistance. Specialist sensory equipment can be costly, and funding for these life-changing items isn’t always easy for families to access.

Thanks to a grant, they were able to replace broken bedroom furniture, creating a space where their sons can play and sleep comfortably. The grant also provided a weighted blanket and bean bag for their autistic son, making a remarkable difference. With these items, he has been able to sleep independently for the first time, transforming daily life for the family.

Asking for help isn’t always easy, but this family says the experience was overwhelmingly positive. Receiving the grant brought a sense of relief and joy to their household. The family also appreciated how smooth and supportive FTCT was throughout the process, making the experience even more reassuring.

How FTCT can help with sensory and additional needs
