"I’m so proud to work for a company that is so committed to benefitting the community through charities, and the money couldn’t have gone to a more appropriate charity than the FTCT who have helped many M&S colleagues over the years.”

We got the amazing news this week that M&S have agreed to match fund £1,000 of sponsorship raised by Will, one of our 2022 Marathon runners . Will is Transformation Manager at M&S and ran the Marathon for us back in October 2022. After he completed the race, Will decided to apply to the M&S match funding scheme to boost his fundraising efforts.

Will commented, "Whilst fundraising for the London Marathon, I learned that my employer offers a programme where they actually match selected charity fundraising efforts up to £1,000. I decided to put in an application, hoping I would be lucky enough to be selected."

"The application was relatively simple, requiring a bit of info about the fundraising challenge and how the money will be used. To my surprise and delight my application was selected and the full £1,000 was sent from M&S to the FTCT."

Our CEO Anna Pangbourne commented, "Our partnership with M&S spans many years and their donations have helped to fund hundreds of essential items throughout the years. This is the first time an employee has applied for match funding and we couldn't be prouder of Will for taking the initiative and applying to boost his fundraising efforts."

"A huge thank you to both Will and the M&S team for this donation. This is the equivalent of funding 4 new beds or 8 bundles of children's clothing."
