If you are self-employed we’ll need you to send us a few documents, so that we can understand your income and business. 

These are the four things we’d like you to send:
•    Two years of full tax returns (These should be the complete documents, not just the summary pages)
•    Prepared accounts Showing at least 12 months of trading within the last 9 years
•    Companies House registration (If your business is registered)
•    Your most recent tax calculations and accounts (if you’re currently self-employed)

AND

Before you send, please take a minute to check that your documents show:

•    Your name
•    Your business name
•    Your income or earnings assessment
