After a life altering illness struck her husband Mohammed, Mum Shabana reached out to us for help. We were delighted to have helped fund new beds for her daughters Zahra (12) and Esha (18), giving them a relaxing and nourishing space to sleep. Here Shabana shares their experience of applying for a grant. 

“My husband Mohammed was diagnosed with a skull based tumour in 2021. Since then we have struggled as a family mentally and financially.  Mohammed was out of work for over 2 and half years and I could only work part time, around looking after the children. It was a struggle.”
