“When we got the grant it felt like Santa had come early.  It was a strange feeling to spend £100 on new clothing for my daughter. Most of her clothes are second hand. Now we also have a beautiful cotbed and a good quality car seat.” 

Ula works for The Dune Group and was struggling as a single mum with no family support. After hearing about FTCT from a friend, she decided to apply for help with a cot bed, car seat and clothing for her daughter Oliva (1). Here Ula shares their story.

“I am 43 year old single mum. I am from Poland originally and have no family here. My daughters father is barely involved, so it's pretty tough sometimes. Olivia and I are a small family, living in a tiny one bedroom flat and we don't have much money.”  

“My friend from work told me about the FTCT grants. I had worked at Dune for over 10 years and I decided to apply. At the time I was on maternity leave and had gone 3 months without being paid. I really needed for a proper car seat and cot bed for Olivia.”
